In the discussion of gun control, one controversial issue is that it wouldn’t do anything, because people will find a way to get a gun. On the other hand however it would keep all of the useless killings to a minimum, my view is that tighter regulations would stop senseless killings and untimely deaths. More than 30,000 people are killed by firearms each year in this country. Only because people are not checking backgrounds when they sale firearms, they only care about making that particular sale to increase their overall revenue. No one with a mental illness, criminal background, etc. many of these killings in schools, movie theaters, malls, parks, houses, etc. that is mostly because the majority of people hang out at a time. Senseless gin violence mobilizes the public and focuses outrage, but that effect doesn’t last long. That basically means that when people start shooting it freaks out everyone of course but they will eventually calm down and move on with their lives. Its sad when you think about it , people seem so sad when people get shot but then they soon stop caring as if the killings haven’t even happened. Americans are pretty evenly divided on the question of whether they support gun rights over gun control. Meaning that Americans are half on the whole “people shouldn’t own guns if they cant be trusted.” Or on the other hand “ everyone should be able to own a gun to protect themselves and can use it to protect themselves.” In the next article “ U.S. is the mass shooting capital of the world by far”, since 1966 , 31% of such rampages have occurred here. A new study examines why. This is a terrible thought of we as the United States are the largest country with the most mass killings. We are a country that is filled with so much death for no reason. The U.S. is by a long shot the world leader in mass shootings, claiming 5% of the global population 31% of the worlds mass shooters since 1966, a new study
