They like to learn new things and will work at a task until they get it right. Most infants need to be reassured before trying something new. Low keyed infants take longer to warmup to new people, food or areas. When we hold an infant, they tend to feel safe. We need to be aware of the infant’s disposition. Infant’s don’t understand speech but they do understand the tone of our voices. Most infants need to have a daily routine that are done at a steady rate or they can become fussy. When it comes to activities some infants need a little nudge to get started. As infants master different activities, the infant is pleased with themselves. Adults need to know when an infant is stressed. It is good to know before the baby becomes too fussy. As the infant grows, he or she will not remember the early days but they will always have the feeling of being loved.
