In Judges 13-16 there was a judge, he was Nazarite; no razor shall come on his head, not drink wine nor strong drink. Samson was born to be a judge 20 years in the days of the Philistines (Judges 15:20). Samson was a hero and very powerful in his might. But as chosen man of God, he doesn’t take heed to the commandments of God, to run away from the strange woman. Samson weakness was with a woman, he got married to a woman in Timnath the daughter of the Philistines (Judges 14:1). And secondly, he went to a harlot in Gaza (Judges 16:1). The last, Samson fell in loved by a woman in the valley of Sorek, her name was Delidah. In this chapter Delilah comes into the picture (Judges 16:4-22).

A. What is Our Focus of Life?
The duty of men is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever (Shorter Cathecism). When our focus of life is materialistic, we don’t care about God. Man can only focus on one thing. Even the Bible mentions we cannot love God, love Mammon for either he will hate one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other (Matt. 6:24). Before we same with the world, our conducts, our aim, our behaviour, and focus to enjoying this present life. But when we say we are Christian, it means that we follower of Christ; no more following what the world pursue. Delilah focused her life to receive a lot of money, to extend her life. She was a non-believer, believed in the God of Israel. This normal thing for her. But not same with us, we are Christian. Our focus of life need change, we cannot love money or we panic and worried and afraid of future life. What the Bible says? In Matthew 6:25-34 long verses remind us, God is the best provider, don’t worry about tomorrow God will take care of His children need. Our part is to seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matt 6:33).
