The rain pouring violently with the sounds of deafening roars. The torrent of cloudburst crashing on top of my mom’s car. The rain is the thundering of God’s anger. The cataract of rain pouring off the car like a river into a waterfall.
“I can’t believe we lost,” I fulminated.
No response came from the driver as she was ‘concentrating hard on driving’.
Without distinguished my mom’s silence, I rambled on, “ We were better than that school, if we only had not gotten our best players fouled out because the refs made stupid calls, we would have won.”
