I believe that I should be selected for membership into the National Honor Society because I am a hard worker and I put my heart into everything I do. School- One area that I work hard in is my schoolwork, my school work is one of the most important things in my life. This fact causes me to assume the role of leader in many group projects, which I actually enjoy doing. Helping others and working with other people to achieve a set goal is something that I genuinely enjoy.…
The Men of Epsilon Theta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. are currently doing the final touches on their Sigma week and would like to have a Mental Health forum on Wednesday, October 26th, 2016 at 6pm. With the recent loss of a member of our brotherhood to mental health, we take this issue very serious. We are reaching out to see if you would be willing to participate as experts in your field? We hope to have a room scheduled in DSU however at this time location is TBA. Please let me know if you would be willing to assist in our awareness to the minority community about the realness of mental health issues.…
The National Junior Honor Society is a well known society for people that have a GPA. over 92%. I am honored to be nominated for the NJHS and if selected to be part of NJHS, I would do my best as a student and representative of NJHS. I play softball and many tournament/ games do fundraisers to raise money for current causes. Knowing that I am playing for a cause that could help someone or anyone is a good feeling.…
I would be a great candidate of the Anne M Dorner middle school chapter of the National Junior Honor Society because I demonstrate scholarship, service, character, citizenship, and leadership in my everyday life. Some of the committee has already noticed my scholarship because they have identified me as having a high academic performance. What the committee might not know is that I have been participating in the STEP program since 7th grade. My service to help the community of Ossining and to show service is by the following, altar service, soccer modified team manager, and I like to lead running and warm-ups for soccer. I also help in my school by helping classmates in what I can, and working in groups and getting the job done.…
National Junior Honor Society is a great opportunity for me, and is an organization that I really hope to be in. I love doing service not because I am forced to, but I get to be with my friends and is also a way for me to give back to the community. I love helping the needy and have participated in countless activities. For example, I was a part of a group that put together care kits for the homeless, picked up trash at a park, and created blankets for the needy. Being in NJHS will give me a chance to find even more ways to do more service and become a leader.…
I waited until my Junior year but I am very excited for both of these great opportunities . Today I got accepted into Women of Excellence and ABK Honor Society. I just knew I did not get in WOX, there was over 100 other applicants, but Thank you God saw fit . Thank you everybody that is praying for my success .…
As a student, I am constantly devoted towards perfecting my assignments as much as possible before turning them in. I believe that being a part of the Honors College will help me to further develop identity as student. In addition to driving towards academic excellence, I aim to continue to remain dedicated and passionate towards causes that hold special significance to me. Throughout my sophomore year, I helped to lead a team of volunteers in assisting the homeless community at Dupage…
Throughout school, I have been very involved with extracurricular activities and helping the community. In high school, I was part of the Varsity Softball Team for four years. I received All State Academic in 2014 and Second team All District. I played on the Junior Varsity Basketball Team for two years and on the varsity level for one year. I participated on the Varsity track team one year.…
Hey, I would really like to sit in on this meeting. I’m a Edward Jones client and I’ve been approached by this organization for employment opportunities. As well as Allen Gamble, Sr. Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones in Meridian, wrote a letter of recommendation for me for these internship. Thank you, Jake…
as a way to make a college application look nice or just for the recognition. I personally see being a part of this prestigious organization as a way to use my qualities of character, scholarship, leadership, and service, for the better. Aside from implementing them into N.H.S., I am confident that my skills will improve and new ones will develop. As honored as I am for being invited to join, the honor of being accepted will be truly worthwhile. Being a member, I will benefit as a person, but even more important is the great impact I will leave on the school and the…
I love doing community service when I have the chance to, I’ve done community service with my church and I have also done some with Shawnee Mission West. In the end I know that National Honor Society is very exclusive and a high honor and it would mean a lot to me if I got in. I would love to contribute to this organization with my school and peers and make a difference in this community together. It would mean everything if I could help my community out with my…
There are several recommendations that I would like for Florida Gulf Coast University Athletic Department to improve their internship program. First of all, I would have liked to have some more training when it comes down to hospitality duties and other responsibilities in keeping the members of the boosters club happy. Also, I would suggest that the agency offers more challenging tasks to allow interns to think more critically to be prepared for real world problem solving situations within the workforce. Lastly, I would advocate that FGCU should allow interns to try different job positions within the athletic department, so students can have a better understanding of what they really want to do as a potential future career.…
Not only does it look compelling on a job application, but especially on a college application because this could lead to scholarships to help pay for textbooks, tuition, and supplies. Colleges interpret public service as an extra curriculum activity, which substantiates potential leadership skills to becoming Ra’s and elected in other leadership programs. Public service is beneficial in many ways and can have a positive impact on how people view the world. The more people who contribute can have a positive effect on society with citizens working together on projects that help others in need. Getting involved in the community can brighten student’s futures, teach them to be selfless, and interact with…
Some of my interests include reading Literature and spending my spare time writing. Overall, my goal is to create a learning community classroom which teaches my passion for English Language Arts. I believe having the ability to work in a classroom for the internship will only help me understand how to better achieve my goal. For several years, I have been working…
In order to get a better insight into who I am and what I do, there are a few things that I find important to me, and a few other reasons as to why I am applying for this grant. The main one of which, is volunteering. I not only find volunteering fun, but I have had a variety of experiences, from volunteering for a large for-profit or non-profit organization, or for local purposes which has expanded my view of volunteering. I was in a variety of clubs in high school as well, from academic, to music related. Even outside of those, I have been involved in martial arts for a few years, and a general reason for why I am applying is based on my financial need.…
