Allen should lose his employment with ExtremeNet. He was a loyal employee that lost his devotion to ExtremeNet when he felt that the organization broke their promise to the employees. Many organizations have a code of ethics that include the morals and standards the employees will follow and is usually agreed and signed upon hire and if this was agreed upon then yes, he should be terminated (McWay, 2014). Although he had voiced his concerns with no satisfaction to upper management this did not give him a right to publicly post negative protests about an organization that so closely resembles his. If ExtremeNet is performing actions that are improper, but that is not up to Allen to publicly air them it is up to the employees to legally handle them. The removal of the website would exhibit a rule utilitarianism theory. This theory would demonstrate that because of Allen’s actions that rules are written and the site is removed (Thiroux & Krasemann, 2015).
