Marx explains alienation in the work focus in four points, (1) product of human labor, (2) work itself (3) species being and (4) how in work environment react to each other. The Product of his labor is explain as workers are slaves to product they create. They are able to sell the product of their labor, but they do not own the product they create nor can they afford to buy this product. Simply enough, if a person does pick one over the other they are missing out important historical and biographic facts that is better to analyze the society in one piece. In Marx case he sees capitalism as the person biggest issue. He does not take time to express, self- analyzation. A person can easily, “I got fired, because I no longer producing enough product as before”. Whereas, for Mills he look to understand personal level for why that person got fired. When using Mills beliefs a person can come to their senses and say, “I was fired because I no longer try to put my best input when creating products. Maybe, I should find a career that fits my interest”. As showed, Mills not trying to blame one on down falls on society, first an individual need to look at themselves before attacking society structure. However, for Mills a person can look at society structure when there is more just few people going through same time for personal
