It is recommended that a person gets " at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise each week" (Magill’s Medical Guide, 2016). Aerobic exercise , also known as cardio , is a simple activity a person can integrate in their daily routine. The benefit of aerobic workouts is that they don 't require weights from the gym or any special equipment. These exercises usually consist of high repetitions and using a person 's own body weight. Adding this type of exercise will do a lot for a person over a period of time. Home exercise can be a good option when exercise at a gym or in the neighborhood is not available. Excuses may come into play where a person does not know how to work out or exercises that will help. Using the internet, however can help lead a person in the right direction in what exercises they can attempt in a short amount of time. With the better understanding of how easy some exercises can be other excuses, such as being intimidated or uncomfortable with the idea of working out, can no longer be thought of. There are both good and bad ways of dealing with stress. Outlets may include eating , sleeping, and even consuming alcohol to feel better. But an effective and healthy outlet to help alleviate is exercising. Using physical activity helps in ways that the negative ways can not. "Alcohol misuse can progress to alcohol dependence. Alcohol use disorder involves a craving, or a powerful, uncontrollable desire for alcohol" (Scholten, 2015). When resulting to alcohol consumption to deal with stress not only does it impair judgment but also takes a toll on the body after some time. Working out gives an option to focus on a certain goal and maintain concentration. This can be a skill used when not exercising that would give you an option in a stressful situation that alcohol would not be able to provide. Bad eating is also a way people cope with stress. Eating habits can start late in life but can also be started from a young age. Its said that " healthy eating behaviors adopted in childhood are likely to continue through adolescence and adulthood and result in decreased risk of chronic diseases" (Florence Michelle ,Asbridge Mark, Veugelers Paul, 2008).
