So how can it be argued that teens should have equal rights as adults if teens aren't even trusted enough to guide their own lives. In fact teens can't even rent a vehicle until they are 25 years old (Newsmax.com. N.p., n.d)!
It seems as though Americans can be rather hypocritical with these unrealistic ideas of democracy. They tend to pick and choose what things they want to actually be democratic. Teens should not have this much freedom in the polls if this freedom is not going to be applied other places in society. After all it is highly frowned upon when an American ruins their own life with drugs or alcohol, so shouldn't we hole ruining the country's future with uneduacated immature voters to the same standard (Newsmax.com. It is in fact democratic to give all citizens a right to choose their leader. However until the generation of teens in the United States become more mature, self reliant, educated, and more thoughtful it is not logical to let them vote. For some Americans voting, and politics means the world to them.Often times it is even there career.
