Within the story of ¨Suzy and Leah¨ by Jane Yolen, it talks about two young ladies, Suzy and Leah, one born in the U.S. and one who was a German-born Jew who was a refugee. Both of which, when they first saw each other, had no idea they would change eachotherś life in the future. Both would help each other out and have similar feelings. Leah was scared, because she felt unsafe within the Americans schools and in America. Suzy was mad when she saw Leah at her school wearing Suzyś blue pinafore.
