Adapting history to the movie screen is not a novel concept. Many movie productions have captured audiences ' attentions and shed light on historical happenings. However, there is the occasional movie that goes above and beyond being a simple historical flick. Inherit the Wind is a perfect example of this exceptionalism. The movie, a classic take on the social issues of 1920 's America, is directed by Stanley Kramer and features stars like Gene Kelley, Spencer Tracey, and Fredric March (IMDb).…

I believe that this is a very excellent film it talk about law and is very interesting and it helped inspire my opinions on the gun control topic and some of the views and ideas I have concerning this controversial idea about how the gun companies can get away with all the life’s they have took and all the stress guns cause now I am not saying guns are bad it is just the people who are bad there should be tight restrictions for guns that way they don’t get bought and sold on the market because…

in Hollywood, the American film director, producer and actor - Spike Lee, Debbie Reynolds (American actress, singer, dancer and film historian) and the American film, stage and television actress - Gena Rowlands, were all given an Honorary Oscar for their contributions to the film industry. Spike Lee, who has produced over 35 films since 1983, has never won an Oscar in spite of the previous nominations for Best Original Screenplay for 1989's American comedy-drama film - Do the Right Thing and…
and now Beneath. All films that happen to take place in a mine, in fact I can't thing of a single film that takes place in a mine that I dislike. A lot of this stems from the fact I like horror films with a ton of ambiance with a claustrophobic feeling of being trapped to back it up, which is something Beneath has in spades. What makes this film even better is the tight script and well-balanced cast. Something that made this film standout to me, and I really like how this film played with my…
With the exception of my friend, Myra, back in college, almost all the women I've met who have naturally curly hair, hate it and wish they had straight hair. Of course it was the '80s and big hair was in, so Myra's long, curly, wild, Puerto Rican hair was da bomb at the time. I, on the other hand, have spent a small fortune throughout my adult life, paying for perms because I always wanted curly hair. I just watched Good Hair, a funny documentary by comedian, Chris Rock. He was inspired to…
I really enjoyed Water By the Spoonful. It was easy to become lost in the show and I ended up becoming very attached to the characters. Although there were some scenes where you could tell the actors spoke a line ahead, overall they did a great job. The performance by the actress playing Haikumom/Odessa brought tears to my eyes. Additionally, the production did a really good job of working with the few set pieces they had. The use of lighting for the chats was cool and made it easy to follow…
