Baroque architecture is distinguished primarily by richly sculpted surfaces. Unlike Renaissance architects who preferred planar classicism

Jules studied architecture with Francois and he later adopted the family name of Mansart.

He was an artist who forced the architectural style of Palladian elegance in the Versailles of Louis XV
