Today we are faced with more of these tasks than ever before, and cell phones being the biggest problems. A few other distractions that need to be highlighted are other people in the car and roadside distractions. With all these things going on around us it is easy to lose focus on the task at hand. This is even a bigger problem for novice drivers, these drivers are still learning how to drive, but at the same time answering text messages and eating fast food. Recent studies have been conducted and during this study period, “167 crashes and near-crash among novice driver and 518 crashes and near-crashes among experienced drivers were identified.
