These religions have continued on for centuries and have survived despite the fact that they have been threatened by others who had viewed those two religions lesser than their own (Dr T. F. Jemiriye). For Christianity despite them being slaughtered during the Roman Empire, they are one of the top religions in the world today, but why? Well I believe it grew because it appealed to people during the time that the demographics were increasingly changing. People in Europe liked the fact they could seek help towards a greater power when things began to fall apart and illnesses bombarded the cities. There are also written texts that guide people, and this “evidence” makes it seem easier for people to know the rules to help them reach their heaven. As for the Yoruba religion, it has survived beyond Africa because they were separated. During European imperialism, many of the Europeans sought to convert them to another religion that they perceived to be the right religion but they continued to practice their own.
