In the light of the above statement, I would say that it cannot define an ambitious person's life any better but for his own sanity he will have to maintain a balance between his personal and professional life.
Some time ago the limits of work and home were clearly defines. Today, work is prone to interfere in our lives — and keeping up work-life offset is not all that easy a task. A few years back, people used to have settled working hours or rather a 9 to 5 job from Monday to Friday. In any case, with time, the limit between the work and home has vanished.

There are stances when they have to choose between attending their child's function or parent teacher meet v/s an important call or client meeting. But as Oprah Winfrey said,
"No one can have everything and do everything at the same time."
So, you have to walk between the lines. Most people misunderstand work life balance as a concept. It is not about being perfect, right or clever. But just a notion that the work you are paid for and your personal life are not competing but complimentary concepts.

Prioritizing the tasks and planning the activities can help to take out some free time which can be utilized for other personal purposes. Taking some time out for hobbies and leisure activities, spending time with loved ones can help to beat the stress.

Use technology to serve you and not to abuse you. Consider whether you can outsource any of your time-consuming household chores or errands. Could you order your groceries online and have them delivered? Have your dry cleaning picked up and dropped off at your home or office? Make use of the booming e-commerce to your advantage.
