Surely, I can’t be that negative to the actors? Especially since they’re just college actors right? Sadly you and I are wrong. The acting overall was about average to below average. The actors knew their lines, but did not understand their character. Most of the actors did not play their character to their full potential, some of them may have even misinterpreted their character. Glen and Karla were the start actors of this play, if there was an MVP award I would give it to them. Mark Shepard representing Glen achieved perfection for me. Not only did he looked old like the character initially had to be, but the actions and tone of voice felt extremely convincing. When Glen was suppose to let his ADD get the best of him, Shepard would literally get the best of him. Candance Brown also played Karla to the best of her ability. Achieving the right tone of voice and actions I knew Karla would do in the play. The other characters played were convincing except Kip. I know the husband is suppose to be somewhat of a disappointment in the story, but you’re only suppose to be a disappointment to Cass, not the whole damn audience. Oscar Herrera-Sobal who portrays Kip felt completely out of place, to the point where I mentioned he might misinterpreted the character. The hair, the tone and motion, the outfit, did I mention the hair? Everything I expected from Kip in the script was not what I expected in the play. Better luck next time for him I
