Since the beginning of the twentieth century, as technology was making its advancements, white males in the business industry seemed to be the ideal icon of any firm or company. No one seemed to be comfortable with the thought of a female being a head executive, for example, because of the stereotype that women cannot complete the same duties as a man can. We know that women have always been considered inferior to men since the early centuries. Back then, women have always been viewed as being a stay at home mom, or housewife, mainly staying away from the working field. However, as society progressed those ideas are disintegrating in the remains of history. We also know that although women are considered the minority they are building themselves up to the point that makes this minority statement false. Women are becoming more and more powerful not only in the workforce, but in the roles of society as well. We are becoming aware of just how powerful women are and what they can do. We know that their dominance in the business industry is becoming more visible day by day and we know that this representation will only continue to grow from here. The business industry overall is addressing the minority issues in many ways. The field is aware of women being less represented and has been taking action to change that. One major way that is contributing tremendously is scholarships. Scholarships for women in business have been the most helpful for those especially in college.
