During lunch, he never went to the lunch lines because of how many people were there. Instead, he'd go meet with his best friend, the bench, and eat a packed lunch from home.
In the afternoon, all the boys would get home and play or eat, but not him. He rushed to his bed and slept given that it was his only comfortable situation. Shyness always did his homework because he imagined how terrible he would feel getting humiliated by the teacher. For Shyness, it was too much to ask of him to hold a full conversation with his parents. He never attended family reunions in the living room because his family was basically the set of judges from an entertainment show and he was the participant. Criticism was his biggest nightmare, and socializing was his side-kick.
