Equality:
We have the right to be considered equals. Equality assures that everyone is treated fairly and according to their needs. We are all considered the same no matter if you are a boy or a girl, if you are young or old, if you have a disability, or if you have different beliefs.
Promoting equality eliminates discrimination problems such as bullying, harassment and victimization.
Truth:
We have the right to know the truth. It is considered to be the most important value because every democracy depends on the government and its citizens telling the truth. And not only governments depend in this value. Every …show more content…
"That's not fair!" is usually the first thing we hear from our students when something doesn't go their way. Fairness is what we all expect from each other and from our leaders. When correcting wrongs or making decisions, we expect justice. We expect everyone to be treated fairly and we expect you to be fair.
Life:
Although it sounds obvious a good definition would be that we have the right to live without the fear of injury or being killed by others. Everyone has the right to live and to pursue happiness. This value seems simple but sadly there are still too many countries around the world where this basic right is not the case.
Remember that in school and life we have rules to keep us safe and we should follow those rules. Protect your right to live and to be happy.
