Students decide to fall asleep in class, not considering the usage of our brains which are not fully active until after 8am, but however, it gives the students additional time to sleep in the morning with the result that the scholars can stay focused throughout the day. We would be able to get more sleep for the restless night we receive and our brains do not fully awake by the time we get to school or especially by the time we get in class. Scholars should have a later start time because it would have a healthy impact on our scholars because you will be able to see a rise in their grades, their testing scores and they won’t as much missed school days as they use to from waking up late.

Lack of sleep can be a risk factor because it boosts hunger, due to the delicate balance between the nutrients consumed and the energy costs of staying awake, which remain generally the same whether you've had enough sleep or not. When it comes to many classrooms, many teachers do not allow students to eat or drink inside the classroom, but they may step out in the hallway to finish snacking if the time is appropriate. Many students are obese because the increase in the cravings for junk food. Scholars will end up having a higher risk of diabetes in their adulthood. When a child notices the hunger pangs they don’t have the ability to concentrate because they can only think of the food that they could be eating because your brain cannot detect a lot of energy, so it's going to end up feeding off the energy from the food you digest. Once you start to eat more, you slowly start to gain more pounds. Then you become more exhausted, so you won’t have as much energy to finish your homework or be able to study. Sleep deprivation can also have an impact on how much you think, you will start to forget things more often and that will lead you to start having short memory loss. If you sleep in class, then you will be missing out on the daily lesson and then your grade will slowly start to decrease, and if you can’t finish it in class you will either forget the lesson or ending up just forgetting you had homework to complete.
