The most logical reason the author chose to use this term is, to set the moral and purpose to the novel. Without the actual theme in the novel, there would be no story to start off with and would have no purpose of being a novel. The author’s purpose for utilizing this term is so the story has a base and reason of being instead of a story with no point to it.

This quote reflects the overall theme of the story because it is the theme of the novel and the reason it is named The Memory Keeper’s Daughter. Nothing reflects the theme more than the title of the story and how it got to be named the way it is.
