With all these guidelines implemented, there were still horrible cases where human experimentation lacked morality. Cases such as the Tuskegee and Guatemala syphilis study repeatedly came up during my research which made me question: Was infecting this many with syphilis really worth the results? Were those guidelines established by this time? Yet again, I learned how the government also doesn’t take any responsibility for these experiments they fund. There are no files that can be brought up to show this experiment was even conducted, and these companies could get away with injury of these people without taking responsibility. This made me think of my aunt, who was in the military and received the first dose of the infected anthrax vaccine which contained micro-organisms harmful toward human beings. This vaccine basically ruined her life, and gave her “Gulf War Syndrome.” With this traumatic event, the military didn’t own up to this at all, and I don’t even think she receives disability from it. Therefore this really raises concern toward these companies and how responsible they can be, since the military could get away with the infected anthrax vaccines. In another article I read, a comparison toward the Nazi
