As our text book states, it is a good idea to remember the sales tax. This is something to remember, especially if you are on vacation in another state or country. You may think you have all of the money to cover the cost, and then there is another fee attached! What correlates well with the sales tax point, is the additional costs associated with credit card fees and interest. Once again, being aware of how much you are going to end up paying on your credit card, if not paid off in a timely fashion, loses the great deal you just received on your purchase. It is really important to fill out warranty cards, as many companies will not replace or return an item without proof that you had purchased this item from them. Some of these warranties act as a way of the company reaching out to the customers in case of an important recall, and you will want to be notified of that for sure. Maintaining your purchase with the proper care is important so that you do not throw your hard earned money, or your time away with having to replace this item in the future. This means, if you bought a computer, run an anti-virus and all of the updates on it regularly so it does not crash. If you bought a new puppy, take it to dog training classes so you will not have to worry about it running away. And if you bought a new leather couch, you will need to also maintain it by applying the leather cleaner to it once a month. Maintenance may be time consuming, but it will save you in the long
