Aids is the last stage in an advancement of diseases resulting from a viral infection known as the human immunodeficiency virus or HIV/AIDS Virus. There is nor cure or a vaccine to prevent the virus resulting it to be deadly. (Health central,2017). However, it is only spread by contact of bodily fluids like semen, blood or vaginal secretions therefore can be prevented by safe sex practices and not exchanging needles whatsoever.
Background
The virus, identified in the 1980s has been a subject of research ever since. It is similar to the SIV virus, which attacks the immune system of monkeys and apes. In 1999, researchers found these two viruses identical and in fact, related to each other. This connection concluded that chimpanzees were the source of HIV and that at some point it crossed between chimps and humans.(Avert.org,2017). The virus does not directly affect the patient directly as it only reduces the immunity resulting in the patient getting infected with other diseases that may be lethal. HIV/AIDS does not only affect you physically but also socially as some people believe that HIV is spread by casual contact or they make misjudgments about the people affected which results in isolation. Qualitative research aims to gather information about the origins of the virus and how it affects the human immune system through online articles, magazines, videos and books.
Quantitative research will be carried by collecting numerical data and statistics through online articles.
