The practice of yoga helps me with my eating habits. According to my physician, she said I was at an unhealthy point in my life physically. I recently started weighing myself at the beginning of fall and realized that I have reached an extreme weight gain that was unacceptable for my liking and made me feel unhealthy. Based off of the realization of my weight being sky ratted from the usual mass someone of my quality would be. I figured that a change was necessary. As suggested by researchers’ Lachman & Agrigoroeal (2010) having an even stronger belief when it comes to controlling your outcomes, one can have some less severe symptoms, a better health is reported and a higher functional health status can come into play. A statement of that nature made me realize that my health status can influence me to take control of what happens in my life. Creating a list or a diary of the things and the time my food was consumed has helped me become more aware of my eating habits. One more thing that has really motivated me is social media. On social media I follow people that exercise daily, has reported results of their workout routine, and the ones that provide a nutritional guide for others to follow through with and speak on the healthier food choices they recommend one to eat. As indicated by researchers’ Lachman and Agrigoroaei (2010), the mechanisms that have been reflected is some type of social support, like having that relationship with others. Which, can greatly impact one to be more active, engaged and keep a healthy lifestyle. In a sense, these can be a support system to me as well, which drives me in the path I need to be
