Pacman hit U.S. stores in October and it had quickly become a huge hit. It sold over 1000,000 units in its very first year. Pacman’s character was the first gaming mascot, and it had also established the maze game genre which led to many games to come in the near future. Pacman also opened gaming for females by releasing Ms. Pacman in 1981 which included multiple mazes, moving fruit and faster gameplay. Pacman was also the first game to include power-ups and incorporate cut scenes. He was drafted in the army and spent about three years in the army working with the Motion Picture Army Unit. He had served in the Army force and in addition to this, Reagan also produced hundreds of training and propaganda films. Ronald Reagan was also elected as president of the Screen Actors Guild. As the leader of the HAU (Hollywood Actors’ union), he had participated in its investigation of the infiltration of the film industry.
