The contextual project work consist of 10 concepts from block one. The meaning of each concept will be explained, critically analized and applied to both personal life, social life or to the current job.
1. CONCEPT 1- ADAPTATION MODEL
This concept explains how an individual interacts with and adapts to the environment. This interaction requires use of adaptive mechanisms to conserve energy and maintain equilibrium. In this model, the nurse helps client into adapting in four models as adaptation is the process of responding to and satisfactorily coping with environmental changes. The four models:
-Basic physiological needs like rest and exercise, nutrition, elimination needs, oxygen circulation e.t.c.

They prefer to die than to deviate from their normal life styles. Such people also need care of the nurse towards peaceful death.
6. CONCEPT 6- SCIENCE OF UNITARY HUMAN BEING
This theorist sees man as an energy field in coexistence with the universe. She identifies (unitary man) as the central phenomena of nursing concern. Her focus is based on person, environment, health and nursing. While man is a being and energy field that is in constant interaction with environment, environment includes everything that is not person. Health is the actions that leads to a fulfillment of the person’s potentials while nursing directs the interaction of the person and the environment in order to maximize health potentials.
6.1 PERSONAL CONTEXT
Personally, I believe man cannot be separated from environment whether good or bad but can adjust to an unfavorable environment as well as favorable environment.
6.2 APPLICATION TO JOB
Professionally, the nurse promotes health and wellbeing for all persons wherever they are. Whether from the slums, urban or rural areas. The nurse does not segregate patients to nurse. If the environment has affected the patient so badly, what she does is health education and counselling not being
