If these offices were created, there would be statistical evidence showing if there is indeed discrimination and wage differences within genders. There needs to be implementation of genderization in the academic world. Having studies that include gender and definitively define what discrimination is needs to be mandated in our nation 's academic profile (Beggs, 2015). If this was in place in the academic profile this could deflate some of the ideals some men feel about women in the workforce. This would not only empower women, this would give men a bit better understanding of the actualities of what women feel in the workplace. An office that I created in my proposal, might help with the implementation of this process in schools. Researchers have suggested that the more children interact with different genders at an early age, the more likely this will have a positive outcome for them in adulthood (Institute for Women 's Policy Research, 2012). Even though taking on the gender wage gap is a feat in itself, a change in policy and societal attitude may help shrink the gender wage gap. If there was a governmental office specifically for handling the gender wage gap and equality there would be more oversight for these issues. Our societal attitude is divided when the topic of conversation is gender wage gap. There are many people within our society that have debates and their own agendas while handling the gender wage gap.
