I feel it in my heart: the way the colors complement each other and contrast in such beautiful ways. In school, art classes were always my favorite part of the day. I hungered for more to learn and more skills to acquire. My whole life, I’ve been sensitive to the colors that surround me. I feel as if colors and shapes are a language of sorts, and I possess the ability to translate them to the rest of the world through my art. Though I can naturally interpret colors, I am always in need of more ways to express them. I observe the world around me as it turns to its own rhythm. I study the way people move and the way nature interacts with its surroundings, and I learn from the things I see. In school, I took classes that taught me new mediums and new skills. I used the internet to teach myself skills I could not adequately learn through school. I broadened my horizons and added new tools to my belt so that I could express myself in even more ways. I learned to go beyond simply drawing with a pencil; I could paint and sculpt and work digitally as well. I can speak the language of shapes and colors more fluently, and I hope to hone these skills even more in my future to convey messages clearly through
