They did things they previously could not do like see-museums, art-exhibits, plays, athletic events, trade expositions, and etc. The economic boom allowed them to live in era of excitement. Other than urban Americans having prosperous wealth, their society adapted to non traditional lifestyle. They responded to their new non traditional lifestyle with having the ideals of liberalism, fun, and progressive. Also, women had more freedom to do what they please. They could have romantic relations with men in public, drink, and do anything they desire.But, the rural Americans had a feeling that behavior was appalling and inappropriate, toward their traditional beliefs. Vaguely, they responded to the cultural changes of the other side by restoring the Ku Klux Klan in a political recoil. Also, rural Americans lived a life of falling wealth, during the time their counterparts were living a simulating lifestyle. They responded to the situation of their failing wealth, by competing for jobs and trying to maintain a simple lifestyle.
