Upper/higher Class
Being in the upper/higher class group was a life changing experience. We were very privileged and respected by the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority was very generous and offered numerous amounts of times to pay for some of our building permits. I noticed with our group, even though we had the most money, we were the only group who actually took about 20 minutes or more planning what building permits we needed. I honestly felt content with how we were spending our money. The Housing Authority began to persuade us into buying more building permits just because we had the money to do so. I felt that being able to do so was very important because it kept our team connected and away from subgroups within the group. In the book The Other Wes Moore, it amazes me how this activity and this book reminded me how uniquely similar they are. I admire this book because it teaches you that just because where you came from is rough, will not mean that those inequities will follow you and define what you want to be as you grow older and get more
