Poverty is when people needs are not met. And there are two types of poverty which are absolute poverty and relative. Absolute poverty is when you cannot acquire certain needs and wants to support yourself and relative poverty is when someone can afford things but is not enjoying them.
1.1.Background
Poverty is the state of being of being poor or needy. Poverty occurs because of many reasons such as lack of education. Lack of education can lead to poverty due to you do not have qualifications to find a job and at time you find jobs where you get paid less and it cannot accommodate your needs and at times you do not find any at all. These days most jobs require certain qualifications. At times you find someone studied for a certain career and at that time there are no jobs available because of depression in the economy.
And also a retrenchment at work contributes towards poverty. A person state drops from making a good living to being poor. Some people are born in that state of being poor from their families’ background and they grow up with that kind of mentality that they are poor and they stay like that without making an effort to change the situation and at times you find when parents are poor they do not have the ability to assist their …show more content…
As a community they need to hold workshops to teach people skills on how to budget so that people do not get into debts and be even poorer and plan for their expenditures some people end up poor because they misuse the money. People need to look out for opportunities in order to get employed. And also they need to be able to support one another to reduce poverty such as donating to other household who are less fortunate. People need to stop overlooking one job over the other they need to grab what they find and look for a better one while still working instead of turning the job
