Troy University, founded in 1887, boasts over 100,000 alumni across all 50 states. The university offers 46 bachelor’s degrees, 22 master’s degrees and 2 doctoral programs total. The Council of Rehabilitation Education nationally accredits two of Troy University’s College of Education programs.
The university also offers a variety of online undergraduate, master’s, PhD and professional certificate programs through its Global Campus. The university worked directly with the Department of Education to design and implement a national model for distance learning. Between online and face-to-face offerings, the university offers 1 associate’s degree program, 8 bachelor’s degree programs, 13 master’s degree programs and 7 doctoral programs.
Alongside its well-known theology degree program, Amridge University offers multiple online bachelor’s degrees in business, computer science and liberal arts.
Online students will have access to the university’s extensive collection of theological texts online, as well as several scholarly article databases. All of its degree programs are taught from the perspective of the Churches of Christ.

Established in 1883, the university is largely career-oriented as far as its available majors. Most students come for the college’s nursing, business, teaching and criminal justice programs.
Jacksonville State University has an excellent variety of online degree programs available to prospective students. Some of the bachelor’s programs include topics such as emergency management and family and consumer sciences. Most of the university’s online programs are master’s programs, which include business, computer science and education. The university also offers 5 educational specialist programs and 1 doctoral program, which is in emergency management.
Online students will have access to 24/7 technical support, online tutoring, online academic advising, an extensive online library with access to multiple research article databases and an online job board.
