I joined Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM) to just be a member. My roommate at the time dragged me to the meeting weekly, I enjoyed the message but never felt “apart”. Everyone wasn’t like me, I couldn’t relate to anyone, and I began to get stuck in allowing culture differences and my own ignorance prevented me from building relationships. BCM however, responded with love even though I was determining to not let these people get close to me. after a semester, I was voted into office to be on the leadership board. while I was beginning to adjust, I was not as open as I could be to the group. None the less they still welcomed me and tried to make me feel at home.

Life can be humorous at times; I went from disliking BCM meetings to the President. I was hoping for just spiritual growth and I found that and more. I cannot imagen being at any other school but Towson. I am so proud of my experiences and humbled at how I can help others. While I am growing everyday BCM has made the most impact on me as a whole. I am excited to see how this semester brings new experiences with in BCM and Towson
