It was kept secret until the end of the war. It said the Soviet Union was going to war against Japan two to three months after the end of Europe's war. But America's use of the atomic bomb ended the war much sooner, so the Soviet Union did not have to fight Japan. The Soviet Union wasn’t capable of getting the demands they needed. In schools students looked at communism and it wasn’t looked at in their favor. Most people didnt want the Soviets to go to war with Japan either. Many people thought that the borders should be returned to the way they were before the war but that didn't happen either. The Yalta conference was good for the Soviet Union because of all the land it got. It was a good conference, it ended war in Europe without a lot of arguing with the major war powers. Germany was only responsible for part of the war reparations. Poland received a government that worked.
