Satan tempted Adam and Eve, and encouraged them to eat from the tree of good and evil, which was forbidden by God. Genesis 3:6-7 says, “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths” (ESV). In Genesis, the Bible also talks about the spread of Adam’s sin, and one of the main consequences of the Fall is that man’s sin spread to all of the children of Adam. This means that everyone is born with sin, as it has been passed down from Adam. The original sin is significant, because it shows humanity’s need for divine grace, and shows how humanity is
