Topacio’s film “Ded Na Si Lolo,” we see how the death of Lolo Juanito brought together all the members of the family; in fact, his children were already scattered in different parts of the town except for Mameng, who resides in her father’s home. As Lolo Juanito’s children gathered together, we also notice how they all have a skill in being dramatic (i.e. they had a “flair” in fainting) as well as the family issues that are presented to the audience as the movie progresses. We think that the movie embodies a perfect blend of drama, comedy and sincerity which brings in the concept of dramaturgy in the very heart of the characters in the
