Both propylene glycol and vegetable glycerol can be found in many different foods and drinks from ice cream to alcohol. These chemicals can even be found in medications and cosmetics. A large amount of propylene glycol can be harmful, but the amount in e-liquid is no more than found in foods and drinks. Nicotine is found both e-cigarettes and traditional cigarettes, but the levels of nicotine vary. Different brands of cigarettes have different amounts of nicotine in them, ranging from 8mg to 20 mg per cigarette. Levels of nicotine in e-cigarettes vary also, but the smoker has the choice of what level they want.
