Although both gentlemen have good points on how to deal with the few rights of African Americans, W.E.B DuBois has better solution than of that of Booker T. Washington. W.E.B DuBois has the bigger point because it will be a faster if he breaks stereotypes and because people will be informed.
To start off, DuBois will get his point across faster by breaking stereotypes. When African Americans were no longer slaves, people still though very lowly of them. White Americas would see them as stupid and lazy. An example of this is a 1941 cartoon called “Scrub me Mamma with a Boogie Beat.” In this cartoon it is depicted that black people are simpleminded and slothful. The more ignorant the people are they more they are easily deceived. When they get educated they can argue that in the constitution it claims “all men are created equal.” They will be able to gain power with intelligence. Dubois once said, “The steady withdrawal of aid from institutions for the higher training of Negro.” DuBois believes blacks have a chance and can get smart if they want, they can be just as smart as the whites. But they need to prove this by working on their brain. Till they do everyone can acknowledge their equal mindset and abolish Jim Crow Laws. Imagine someone have been a slave for years, they finally become free. Would they get back to work for the people who enslaved them of would they do what they never got, an education and a higher position.
