The career of justice: The Paramount Duty Of Being a Lawyer
Over the centuries, humans have depended on the act of working hard to sustain a family or one’s self in order to thrive and survive. However, in the modern civilization humans now depend not only on working hard, but not breaking a set of principles and standards defined by the society they inhabit. For this reason, certain people acquire the knowledge of these rules to defend or prosecute individuals who need of these rules or have broken them. These people are called lawyers and they practice law by either prosecuting, defending, or advising an individual. To start, this job can be arduous and strenuous because of the cases that lawyers have to presence as well as the people that lawyers have to deal with potentially being stressful for the lawyer. Furthermore, the working environment of the lawyer varies on the context of being for or against which can already present a stressful situation for the lawyer itself. Moreover, the lawyer has to deal with difficult cases which can be extreme and full of pressure and at the same time dealing with individuals who are guilty and wild along with their victims who have been destroyed because of their actions. Randag (2003) gives an insight on this and states, “I would say the biggest challenge is "keeping above the fray"--not getting down and dirty with people, even when you want to
