One of the most popular book series Harry Potter by J.K. Rowlings reveals the adventure of wizards, and, more importantly, the disparity between wizards and the ordinary people (Paul). Ordinary beings, referred as Muggles, are clearly distinguished from the witches; in fact, Muggles are remote from the conflict between Voldemort and witches in the last series Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. While the battle takes between Harry and Death Eaters, Muggles see no difference to their lives; normal people are not responsible for solving a large conflict. Moreover, even within the wizards, only the few fights against Voldemort, although many are affected. In the recent TV show “The Flash,” unlike other acclaimed shows such as “Gotham,” is not so violent and is attracting audiences looking for some entertainment (Hale). Main character Barry Allen undergoes trauma of witnessing his mother getting murdered and then his father getting convicted for the crime; Allen investigates the case, and in the course of using an advanced particle accelerator, the device causes lightening which strikes and turns him into metahuman. With the ability to travel at superhuman speeds, Allen promises to save Central City from metahuman criminals who were also transformed during the incident. Although the show sets up supernatural events, the realistic setting allows viewers to relate to their own world; the only difference between Allen and them is that the ordinary people are not selected to be the savior.
