In my perspective, I believe the first one could provide a better view to the CPR. Like I mentioned, people read books are searching for truth; the first picture shows the Canadian workers are trying their best to finish the CPR in time. According to history, Canadian workers did try their best; they used their hands to finish their dreams, representing their hard working and their unbendable soul. MacDonald’s dream—the Canadian citizens would never be afraid of Manifest destiny. Even the photo is true; some part in history is covered under this spike—the CPR does impact the life of native people—the settlers came and ruined their peaceful life, which caused them to feel upset and angry. This picture will tell the reader the CPR is filled with pride and success, but is also ignored the negative side of it, which is misleading in the perspective the readers so it is not the best choice in a history
