The Jeep TJ was in production from 1997-2006. In addition to the TJ model, Jeep also produced an LJ model. The LJ model was released in 2003 along with the first Jeep Rubicon edition. The Jeep Rubicon was basically the top of the line model of the TJ. The Rubicon editions were built with entirely off-road purposes in mind. With Dana 44 front and rear axles, lower gear ratios, and front and rear lockers for the axles, this Jeep had the ability to tackle just about any trail that was thrown in front of it. The difference between the TJ and the LJ is that the LJ had a longer body which was more efficient for off-roading purposes as well as protecting from roll overs.
