Preservation. Venice is built in a delicate base, which, due to the effect of cruise ships, is being damage by the waves. To this we have to add the fact that the overcrowdings of the city is also affecting this base.
Local population. They are probably the ones who are suffering the most all this consequences. As it is said above, each year Venice has less habitants. Some of them left the city because of the crowd, others because of the high prices for renting, food and beverage and similar. However, most of them coincide on tourism as one of the biggest problems of the city.
