The Jesuits were the only people that were capable of converting Protestant regions back and reinforcing the faith of the Europeans who fluctuate in their loyalty to the Catholic Church. Ignatius felt that it was a christian's responsibility to defend their religion, no matter the circumstances because the world of Christians were experiencing blockages throughout the society. There were many different accounts that the Jesuits are recognized for their impact all over the world showing that Ignatius beliefs and spirituality help him create a union that remained faithful to Christianity. There were many things that helped make the order of Jesuits as successful as they were. The Jesuits were powerful because of the spiritual exercises taught by Ignatius. This granted missionaries the power to convince people that they would receive salvation by participating in exercises which was very appealing to individuals while sparking the Catholic Reformation. Overall, the experiences of the Jesuits shows us many different important components used while studying the missions of the Jesuits. The order of the Jesuits highlights the importance of respecting cultures, learning and teaching the works of Ignatius, and the ability to communicate well enough to convince others to convert. I felt that this was a very informative essay that taught me the influences that this order had on others and how it was created and taught for that specific reason.
