Myers, D. & DeWall, N. (2015) don’t mention the need of redemption in their textbook, but the theme that humans are broken is evident in this module. Module 40 shows how stress is hardwired into the minds of humans, and how it is a natural thing. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6, English Standard Version). The Bible makes it clear that God did not make humans to be stressed, rather it is a result of the brokenness of humanity. An example of this is seen in Module 40. Myers, D. & DeWall, N. God calls believers to be urgent in doing His work on this world. “Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11, English Standard Version).
