The subcommittee will conduct background checks, contact references, and assess applications objectively by using rating scales to score candidates. The goal of this subcommittee is to narrow down the applicants to a final list of 4-6 (ideal) who will then be invited in for formal interviews. Due to the timeliness of the search process, it will be doubtful that 4-6 applicants will be qualified to make the interview round, therefore, the number of applicants asked to come in for interviews will be determined by the number of suitable applicants.
Step 6: Interview (September 2nd – September 5, Week 8)
Applicants will be scheduled for a series of structured interviews conducted by groups of stakeholders. This system of checks and balances helps to make sure the interview process is fair and equitable. For this particular position, the interviews will be conducted by the following groups of people:
• Teachers
• Principals
• District
