When the review board approves a project and provides the initial assessment, the planner will be able to go directly to plan creation which includes the finalization of quotes, the asset documentation and establishment of the initial schedule. The most important output from the planner is the funding document which ultimately kicks off the larger project initiatives. By quickly moving the creation and approval of the funding, we will shorten project implementation by several weeks. For simple projects that do not include asset procurement by Verizon, the planner can quickly produce the Authorization Letter, attach the quote and provide to a project manager for implementation. There are projects that are created in the Operation or Training departments that do not require the investment of a trained Project Management Professional (PMP) and with a little coaching on best practices, could stay within the originating business group. To facilitate this coaching, we would create work shop sessions that will be attended by those outside of Technology and review board that will meet at least monthly to share ideas, coach and provide feedback. While creating this training will involve time and effort, the benefits to the larger work force will make it worthwhile. It will also ensure that the high visibly and time sensitive projects are managed by our group of licensed
