“You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you? With these rights in mind, do you wish to speak to me?” If you aren’t careful your Miranda Rights will be read to you in a manner in which you will be subjected to an arrest. Americans violate laws that are implemented to protect lawful and unlawful citizens. Americans have the mentality that the “ world revolve” around them. Many citizens that make up the population of this country continue to look down on the “Blue Nation”. The term “Blue Nation” signifies that the people sworn in to protect and serve are not in the fight alone, but there are many citizens that support the law enforcement community. A vast variety of the community that complain about police officer/ sheriff deputies are not foriegn to the justice system. There are repeat offenders that continue to violate the law and expect the enforcers of the law to take it easy on the perpetrators. The law is implimented to protect the citizens in a certain area. Citizen fail to realize that officers dislike the lw but are sworn to enforce the law. In the 2012 law enforcement movie End of Watch, actors protect and uphold the law but the citizens continue to break the law and chastize officers because of their race, but eventually the law is taken a bit further to protect the lives of others. Sometimes officers are forced to protect themeselves which result in the lives of others being eliminated. Activist such as Patrisse Cullors, Opal Tometi, and Alicia Garza claim that their intended purpose is to build connections between Black African American people and their allies to fight anti-Black racism, to spark dialogue among Black people, and to facilitate the types of connections necessary to promote social involvement in the community. I oppose their focus to promote the general public’s involvement in the community because if citizens were intrested in the community they would do it voluntary because they have a drive to be active in the community. Bradley Whitford says that, “Infuse your life with action. Don 't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come
