Climate change affects the human security in the context of spreading a diseases and other conflicts such as lack of food and water supply. The activities can boost the economic level of a state. Next, United Nations (2017) stated that sustainable development should be protected under the Goal 13 of Sustainable Development Goals (Climate action) which urge the action to combat climate change and its impacts. I will use the sustainable development definition by Griffiths and O’Callaghan because it related with my topic. The three (3) elements of sustainable development suits with my deforestation topic. As the World Commission on Environment and Development as cited in Griffiths and O’Callaghan (2002), defined sustainable development as “which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs” (p. 305).
